2017 Year in Review

2017 was another busy year for Boffo Developments. We opened the sales gallery for our downtown project early in the year and nearly sold out within the first week it was launched. Our largest high-rise project to date was completed in Metrotown, Burnaby, and we welcomed 163 new homeowners into the building. Boffo acquired an outstanding building site in Burquitlam and the design planning is already underway.  We’ve got another big year ahead of us, but let’s look back at a snapshot of 2017.
Modello (Burnaby)
It started with a prominent corner site and an idea of transformation, followed by years of planning and building – resulting in a community that 163 residents will call home for years to come. Our construction team worked tirelessly to complete this 40-storey tower to Boffo’s highest standards.  The first move-ins commenced in early May, and we are couldn’t be happier with the response that we’ve received from our new homeowners.

Modello’s public art unveiling was held in June – celebrating “Old Column” by Lead Pencil Studios, which stands proudly at the corner of Willingdon and Beresford, the gateway to the planned Beresford Artwalk.

The Smithe (Downtown Vancouver)
After months of intense planning and preparation, The Smithe Sales Gallery opened its doors in January. We were truly overwhelmed by the positive response, and we are proud that our purchasers recognize Boffo’s obsession for detail and disciplined attention to design.
Demolition of the building on site took place last summer, followed by excavation and shoring which is currently in progress. We are almost 3 levels down into parkade. Completion is slated for 2020.

Overall, 2017 was a year that the Boffo Group is very proud of. We are grateful for our talented team and site crews that worked hard to deliver on Boffo’s brand promise.
We are ramping up for our next project launch in Burquitlam, anticipated to commence later this year. Stay tuned for further details.

From our family to yours, we wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2018!
